FAQs

  • The rate for birth doulas can fluctuate based on experience, location and personal preference. I have a standard rate for my services but offer sliding scale costs and payment plans for low-income individuals as well. Every birthing person deserves access to support through this transformative time!

  • As a Birth Doula, I am not a clinical care provider. I am here to offer support through pregnancy and birth and be in attendence to help support you in physical comfort measures, emotional obstacles and help advocate for you in a medical setting. Some nurses and midwives have Doula Training separate from their medical training, however I am not certified to perform medical procedures.

  • I urge all of my clientele to reach out to their insurance company and see if they offer Doula service coverage. Starting in July 2024 Colorado Medicaid will cover up to $1,500 in Doula Services and I plan on accepting Medicaid clients. I can also accept payments through HSA’s.

  • I offer breastfeeding tips and active listening for families during the postpartum period as well as an extensive list of resources for all of my clients from local mental health specialists to lactation consultants and IBCLC’s to ensure no one is ever left without help during such a life altering period. I offer help with household duties as well as both daytime and overnight infant care at an hourly rate for parents postpartum.
