It all begins with a meaningful connection. The interview portion will give us the space for an introduction as well as discuss your pregnancy, goals and your ideal birth. (All interviews are free of charge, this time is used to gauge if we have a connection and would be a good fit for one other.)
-
I offer 3 prenatal appointments where we will discuss further intentions and goals as well as practice exercises and comfort measures.
1) During our first meeting we can discuss fears & hopes, begin the design of your birth plan and explore birthing options. I can also provide you with information and resources for birth interventions and pain management.
2) Closer to delivery, our prenatal visits will consist of practicing comfort measures, relaxation techniques and continued emotional support through this transformative time.
3) Support will continue and we will begin discussing breastfeeding, bonding and postpartum plans.

As soon as you hit 38 weeks I am considered “on call” and prepared to be by your side for when labor begins. I encourage all of my clients to labor at home as long as they are comfortable. I will by your side whether labor and delivery takes 3 hours or 30 hours. I will stay 1-2 hours after delivery, or until you feel settled in and comfortable to have alone time with your new family. If you are a birth parent placing a baby for adoption, I will be prepared to stay with you through recovery and help advocate your wishes (as far as not breastfeeding, etc) to medical staff as well as support you through the transition of placing the baby with the adoptive parents.
-
I offer one postpartum visit when you feel comfortable and ready for visitors. We will process your birth and I will offer emotional support and further resources for Lactation and Breastfeeding help for you and your family postpartum.
